What Most Vision Plans Include

Most vision insurance plans cover:

  • One comprehensive eye exam per year
  • An allowance for eyeglass frames or contact lenses
  • Discounts on lens upgrades (such as anti-glare, blue light filters, or photochromic lenses)
  • Access to in-network providers and eyewear

Some plans may also help cover contact lens fittings or advanced diagnostic imaging. If you’re unsure what’s included, we’re happy to check for you.

Your Frame & Lens Allowance

Most plans provide an allowance a set dollar amount toward eyeglass frames or contact lenses. This means you can choose from a wide range of eyewear, and your plan will cover part or all of the cost, depending on what you select.

You can also apply discounts or allowances toward lens upgrades like:

  • Scratch-resistant coatings
  • UV and blue light protection
  • Progressive lenses
  • Transition/photochromic lenses

We’ll walk you through your options so you know exactly what’s covered and where you’ll save.
