Livermore Optometry History Dr. Raymond Gurney established Livermore Optometry Group in 1947 as a small office dedicated to serving the vision needs of local families. Since its inception, LOG has been an active participant in the community as well as a leader in quality eye care. Dr. Ronald Emrich joined the practice in 1967 followed by Dr. Clark Abramson in 1973, Dr. Teresa Yim in 1984, Dr. Steven Faith in 1986, Dr. James Winnick in 1999, Dr. Shawna Kuntz in 2004, and Dr. Andrea Melendez in 2007. The doctors’ philosophy is that the patient’s satisfaction is our utmost concern. Everything we do is directed at providing a level of professional care that exceeds a patient’s expectations. As well as technical skill and expertise, the doctors and staff work together as an eye care team to provide our patients with kind and concerned attention. We are a service practice and our patients always come first. We insist up the highest standards of courtesy, attention and service in all of our communications and interactions with the public.
