Meet Our Staff

At Livermore Optometry, our team of professionals go the extra mile to ensure that you and your family get the quality care you deserve.

Dr. Clark Abramson received his degree of Doctor of Optometry from University of California, Berkeley, School of Optometry in 1973 after completing his undergraduate work at University of California, Davis.  In addition, he is a Fellow in the American Academy of Optometry. 

Dr. Abramson is a member of the Livermore Rotary as well as the Livermore Granada Boosters.  He was actively involved with Granada Little League Hall of Fame.  His hobbies include golf and fishing.

Additional professional associations include: Past Associate Clinical Professor at UC Berkeley, School of Optometry; Past President of the Alameda Contra Costa Counties Optometric Society; member of the California Optometric Association; American Optometric Association, Contact Lens Section; and member of the California Optometric Laser Associates.  


Clark Abramson, O.D.    

Dr. Steven Faith received his degree as Doctor of Optometry from University of California, Berkeley, School of Optometry in 1986 after completing his undergraduate work at University of California, Santa Barbara.  In addition, he is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and is a member of the American Optometry Association, Contact Lens Section.

Dr. Faith is a past president of the Livermore Valley Rotary and is a mentor with the Granada and Livermore High School Career Center.  He has been involved in soccer with Little League and Cub Scouts.  His hobbies include golf, baseball, automobiles, skiing and motorcycles.  He and his wife, Colleen, have two sons, Jared and Alec.

Additional professional associations include serving as past Clinical Instructor at UC Berkeley, School of Optometry and Past President of the Alameda Contra Costa Counties Optometric Society.  He is past “Young Optometrist of the Year” with the California Optometric Association and is a current board member of Primary Eyecare Network and California Optometric Laser Associates.


     Steven Faith, O.D.

Dr. James Winnick received his degree as Doctor of Optometry from the State University of New York, College of Optometry in 1997 after completing his undergraduate work at Cornell University.  In addition, he completed a residency in Cornea and Contact Lenses at Pacific University College of Optometry and is a Diplomate Fellow the American Academy of Optometry.

Dr. Winnick serves with the Ravenswood Progress League and Livermore Heritage Guild, as well as the Livermore Valley Winegrowers Association.  His hobbies include horseback riding, where he practices cowboy mounted shooting as well as skiing, where he serves with the Sugar Bowl National Ski Patrol. 

Additional professional associations include: Assistant Clinical Professor at UC Berkeley, School of Optometry and Past President of the Alameda Contra Costa Counties Optometric Association.  He is a member of the California Optometric Association where he is also past “Young Optometrist of the Year.”  Additionally, Dr. Winnick is a member of the American Optometric Association, Cornea and Contact Lens Section and member of the California Optometric Laser Associates.


Jim Winnick, O.D.   

Dr. Teresa Yim received her degree as Doctor of Optometry from University of California, Berkeley, School of Optometry in 1984 and her Master in Education from the U.C. Berkeley, School of Education in 1985 after completing her undergraduate work at University of California, Davis. 

Dr. Yim enjoys mentoring young women and has fixed and built homes for the needy.  Her interests also include biking, camping with her family in Yosemite, and reading good books such as her Bible and America’s Test Kitchen.

Professional associations include: Member of the California Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.  Dr. Yim is a past board member of the Alameda Contra Costa Counties Optometric Society and a Clinical Instructor at UC Berkeley school of Optometry.  She enjoys full scope family vision care and strabismus.

   


Teresa Yim, O.D.

Dr. Shawna Kuntz received her degree of Doctor of Optometry from University of California, Berkeley, School of Optometry in 2004 after completing her undergraduate work at University of California, Davis.

Actively involved in her hometown community of Livermore, she is a member of the Livermore Mom’s Club.  She has combined her hobby of traveling with her joy of her profession and has participated in Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity, giving free eye examinations to the needy outside the United States.  Her other hobbies include volleyball, camping, swimming and baking.  She and her husband, Joshua, have a young daughter, Maya.

Additional professional associations include: Clinical Instructor at UC Berkeley School of Optometry, member of the Alameda Contra Costa Counties Optometric Society, the California Optometric Association, the American Optometric Association, and the California Optometric Laser Associates.  Her special interest is in children’s vision.


 

Shawna Kuntz, O.D.

Dr. Andrea Melendez received her degree as Doctor of Optometry from University of California, Berkeley, School of Optometry in 2004 after completing her undergraduate work at University of California, Davis.  

Actively involved in the community, Dr. Melendez has volunteered in educating children about vision.  Her hobbies include yoga, biking, swimming, camping and traveling.
